New Birth of Charlotte Church
The New Birth Church Facility will be located on Sam Furr Road in HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA. on a 27-acre site.
The New Birth of Charlotte Church is an 80,941 square foot church located on a 25.8-acre site originally addressed as 11901 Sam Furr Road in Huntersville North Carolina. Part of the development of the site is the construction and platting of approximately 800 linear feet of new street named New Birth Drive. The Church is now addressed as 17001 New Birth Drive, Huntersville, North Carolina.
The church is an 80,941 square foot facility includes a sanctuary of 2,338 seats, an 11,933 square foot multi-purpose area, offices, conference rooms, a kitchen, recreation spaces, as well as a café/bookstore. The site has the parking lot capacity of 455 vehicles with a softball and soccer field amenity. The sanitary sewer service is provided with a pump station and approximately 2,000 linear feet of force main. There will be approximately 1,300 feet of improvements to Sam Furr Road (NC 73) in accordance with the NCDOT.

Crowder's Mountain Dam Restoration
Restoration design of the Crowder's Mountain Dam located in GASTON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.
Investigation of the Crowder's Mountain Dam located in Gaston County, North Carolina. The objective of the project was to identify obvious conditions that may lead to structural failure of the existing spillway and assess whether immediate repair was warranted. A down-hole camera was utilized to inspect the principal spillway and to determine replacement and repair of the existing spillway barrel, pictured lower right. The results of the investigation concluded that slip lining the barrel of the principal spillway was the most feasible alternative. As part of our design we also prepared an Emergency Action Plan and an Operations Maintenance Plan.

Mayo River State Park Dam Repair located in ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.
The Mayo River Dam is located in the Mayo River State Park in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The proposed design approach is to provide a topographic survey of existing conditions, provide a dam repair evaluation, develop an Emergency Action Plan and determine design criteria based on Hazard Classification.
Shadow Creek Subdivision
Shadow Creek is an 18 lot single family subdivision located in CORNELIUS, NORTH CAROLINA.
Shadow Creek is an 18 lot single family subdivision located in Cornelius, North Carolina. The design of this project had many design and regulatory challenges. The existing pond was breeched by the previous owner and required permits from the North Carolina Division of Water Quality and the Corps of Engineers to rehabilitate the dam and fill the pond. The developer wanted to save as many trees as possible and work with the existing topography to minimize the impacts to the wooded site. In order to do this, the roads had to be designed as private streets to utilize more relaxed design standards. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility Department accepted the sanitary sewer as a public system (in a private street), but would not accept the water system since the streets were private. The water system had to be designed and submitted to the North Carolina Department of Environment & Natural Resources for approval as a private system. There were also design challenges due to the watershed buffers associated with the project’s proximity to Lake Norman. The result of the design and engineering efforts of MEADE-CIVIL Engineering, PLLC engineering & surveying is one of the most beautiful subdivisions in the area with stands of mature trees and natural open spaces.

A 127-unit town-home community on a site in GASTON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.
The Reserve at Catawba Creek is composed of 127 town-home units and is located off of Hoffman Road in Gastonia, N.C. MEADE-CIVIL Engineering, PLLC provided Master Planning, Flood Study, and Civil Engineering for this project. Community features a swimming pool, large open spaces, children play areas, and great walking terrain. Accessible units are available and placed throughout plan for façade variety.
